‘Umbra’ to compete at Toronto Int’l filmfest

Iran short film ‘Umbra’ is to compete at the competition section of Toronto Int’l Film Festival in Canada.

Iran short film ‘Umbra’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 42nd edition of Toronto International Short Film Festival in Canada.

The flick is to attend the competition section of the Canadian film event.

Directed by Saeed Jafarian and produced by Iranian actor Rambod Javan, 'Umbra' is about a young woman who realizes a few minutes after midnight that she is with no one. Worried, she goes out in the darkness of the streets.

‘Umbra’ has previously taken part at the Cinéfondation section of the 71st Cannes Film Festival and the 2018 Vila do Conde Film festival in Portugal.

Toronto International Film Festival is one of the largest publicly attended film festivals in the world, attracting over 480,000 people annually. Since its founding in 1976, TIFF has grown to become a year-round destination for film culture operating .

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for September 6-16, in Toronto, Canada.
